Early in 2022 a film maker from Florida hit me up, they needed animation to fill the void in their historical reinactments within their documentary. Such fun! - We got to design John Lennon and Paul McCartney and a host of others including Colin Hanton the star of the show and pre-beatles drummer.

One of Gene’s projects from back in the day. The studio killer. I mention it out respect to all that worked on this beast. Hand drawn kung fu animation action show, what could go wrong? Everything, but we still delivered 26 x 22 episodes of this mother to some great broadcasters like CBBC, Nick, YTV and others.

Mighty Pants Media teams up with Loogaroo to produce Axe Cop for Fox’s Animation Domination HD (ADHD) programming block. We cranked out some sweet animation clean-up and in-betweening for seven episodes totalling 77 minutes

Early 2021 I get the tap for a cool project. About four kids working a mall in 'somewhere' america - hate their jobs, their eccentric bosses, know they're just working for the man. They have dreams, big dreams of becoming a hip hop super group. I loved exploring these characters and this world. Very much inspired visually by the cool ass show Sugar and Toys as well as the wicked visual style of Baptiste Lucas.

Teaming up with Suzette and Maurice from Mozus is always a real treat. They came to us with this great little kid’s show – We got to take a fun and crafty art and animation style to the show completing a dozen episodes and an online portal where the episodes were paired with equally as entertaining quizzes and games – A super fun experience. www.agrofun.ca

Agro Fun

Tapped in the spring of 2021 - A great script and sound track came across my desk and free reign of style was given! - My favourite! - Over the fall and bit of winter we created crafty visuals for a beautiful little story of a nurse from the Yukon who met a man in Iraq who kept a promise to his daughter. - Lovely little tale that continues to circulate in short film festivals.

Shelf Life

Tapped to run the show, we got down to creating 36 animated episodes with 36 different celebrities voice tracks. We didn’t have long to do it in either, like 6 months or something crazy. I (Gene) lost a few years of my life producing this series, but that job continues to bring in opportunities to this very day.

Celebrity Animal Encounters

Created by long time pals Geremy Walker, Melanie Albert and produced by Jessica Beckett – this little series received a warm reception generating millions of views. Fans online say we should bring it back, I think they may be on to something.

Chainmail Bikini Squad

Picking up where another great studio left off is never an easy feat.  In late 2017 this cool AF metal band reached out to us. They had the hot track, an idea for the story and a budget they raised though their fanbase. So we grabbed some kick ass talent and plotted out this whole production from storyboard through to final composite, took about 6months.

It’s not everyday we get a super cool gig like this one, we love 2D cartoons, like we live for them and having get to take a 3D cartoon and bring it back into 2D? – Well, that’s the good stuff right there. 6PH is also the good stuff, they set us up for success with their top not design work, we just had to breath some life into each of the 12 episodes. Super fun gig.

Gru’s Minions

Man o’ man, another Mondo project (we did a ton of them). This one was extra special as it was extra nasty. An old lady who loves to have sex and hopes to die. Jeez. 

I (Gene) didn’t write the stuff, but I sure had to design it. I also got some help from Geremy Walker and Josee Robichaud. Super fun. I think it got pulled after 3 episodes, but whatever…

Ms.Brickles

My good buddy at PQA needed a video that showcased more about who their company was while explaining exactly what they do. So after he gave me a wad of cash to get going, I sat with my team and brainstormed a few concepts. 
That's the best part of our job! Ideas. 
Anyway, we found a few that stuck well and here's the end result.

RAP OFF

Way back in the day we met the Mondo folks in France at a conference, we must’ve impressed them as not long after we were awarded the contract to produce this legendary cartoon for them. Fun Fact, I tricked the CEO of Mondo Media at the time to sign the contract with an electric pen ( true story)

We produced 39 x7 minute episodes over the course of about a year and a half. The one rule? – No reusing blood splatter, each and every disgusting bit of gore must be unique. One of our Fav’s.

Early 2020 we were tapped to help develop and produce a home-grown New Brunswick series of children’s books. Season One of 21 x 7-minute episodes are currently in production here at Loogaroo. With Jess Beckett at the helm, the show is set along a chocolate river in New Brunswick, doesn’t that sound delish?

Feeli Tout

Seems like forever ago that the creator of Canot Cocasse came to New Brunswick. He came to see the studio and to take me (Gene) out to lunch to talk about helping to develop this children’s series. I remember it vividly as I cancelled my trip to the Ottawa Animation Festival that year, I instead stayed behind and developed the pitch pack and first 10 seconds of animation with Jess Beckett. Low and behold the gamble paid off! Now, 6 years and 5 wonderfully produced (Thanks Jessica!) seasons later, we have 65 episodes of a series we all can be super proud of.

Canot Cocasse

Now this was a fun project. An ad agency came to us and needed to create web cartoons that would help their client sell more of the iconic brand ‘ I can’t believe it’s not butter, spray!” 

Fun fact: That product at the time wasn’t permitted to be sold in Canada so we had to have them ship up a bottle so we could design the main character ‘Spraychel’ with accuracy. 

We not only wrote this series, developed all the characters, but animated it all as well. Reminiscent of daytime soap operas, this show ran for 3 seasons and increased the worldwide sales by 2% for Unilever.
